Tickets for the draw to raise funds for the Addington Fund are available , the Prize is a choice of Hamps Valley Annabelle 7 or £1000 and the tickets sell for £20 each7
The services of the Addington Fund have never been in greater demand as a combination of 12 months of appalling weather combined with rising input costs and falling returns have brought many farming families to the brink and the Fund are able to make direct payments to alleviate distress.
A less well known activity of the Fund is to provide retirement homes for those who have spent their lives working in Agriculture and this can release a farm to allow new entrants to achieve their ambition to farm independently.
Hamps Valley Annabelle 7 is on her second season on the show circuit and is in calf to calve in the autumn , she has really matured over winter thanks to the care of Brian and Sheila Adams and the sponsors who have helped with feed and other requirements.
She was the winner of a strong class at Devon County last week and will appear again shortly at the Royal Bath & West and Royal Cornwall Shows.
Tickets will be available at the Shows or from the Addington Fund or from EGCS
