Camborne Show was held on Saturday July 16th and congratulations must go once again to the Warren Family of Penzance who’s cow Tredinney Conquerors Excellence, was judged Guernsey Champion and Supreme Dairy Champion repeating her success from Stitians the week previously.
Yeovil Show was held on Sunday 17th August being the first show there for over 30 years. Two exhibitors had 4 cattle forward, Hinton Farms had 3 animals shown by Digby Gribble, and Richard Norman and The Sales family had one heifer in milk on show.
Judge was Richard Emm.
There was one heifer in calf which was Hinton Sandra 8th by Aber Jupiter.
There were two Heifers in milk and this was won by Hinton Nancy by Novak, who was heifer champion at Birmingham recently. In second place was very freshly calved Bickfield Indus 9 by Phonze, who was making her first appearance in milk.
The only Cow in milk was Hinton Holly 13 by Novak.
She was made Breed Champion with the heifer in milk reserve. This pair then went on to be Interbreed Pairs Champions in front of the Ayrshire pair from Tracey Marshall and Les Rockett.
Guernsey owners were to the fore in other the Breed Championships with Tracey and Les taking the Ayrshire Championship and Richard Norman the Jersey Championship. Abi Marshall was also judged Champion Dairy Handler.
