The selection and sale of Guernsey bull semen is an important part of the Guernsey Society’s business and since 2000. All bulls for the last few years have been A2A2. Bulls are now selected off the back of their genomic results, all males that enter the herdbook must be genomically tested. The society has a Future of the Breed committee which plans matings for some of the best cows in the country. The society has a rigorous selection policy for bulls to go on centre.
