Laity Farm Primrose 96 owned by The Warren Family of Penzance in Cornwall was this week classified Excellent 95 pts. Two HUK classifiers were present to award this outstanding cow top merit.

Primrose was purchased as a calf locally and has proved to be one of the Breed's best cows of this decade.

Born on 23.02.00 she is by Trotacre Jay Mr Luxury. She has bred 4 bulls:

  • Tredinney Landon Premium
  • Tredinney Yogi's Prince
  • and twins, Buzzards Plover
  • Buzzards Perigrine.

In her fourth lactation she gave 10,048 kg of milk at 4.49% BF and 3.61% P. Now in her fifth, and having calved last August, she has so far produced well over 8000 kg of milk.

Her Show record is also outstanding having secured 10 breed Championships including, Royal Cornwall(3), Devon county, The Royal Show and The SW Dairy Show(2). This year she has triumphed at all her outings, Devon, Cornwall and Stitians. Next stop SW. Dairy Show (DEFRA permitting!!)

Well done to James and family for all their efforts in keeping this tremendous cow in the spotlight.

Congratulations !
You don't see nowadays too many cows with that kind of score in their fifth lactation.
That also shows Mr Luxury was (is) one
of the best bulls available. Thanks God I have fifteen heifers out of him.
