GUERNSEY BULL SEMEN for EXPORT.

WGCF agreed yesterday to set up a register of Guernsey Bulls who have semen qualified for Export and a list of which countries it qualifies for.

Agreements are being made with an increasing number of Countries as well as the established Guernsey populations. I have been amazed at the volume of straws of other "Red" bulls that are being exported each year, a great deal of which is being used in Cross Breeding programmes with the Holstein breed.

The Guernsey is very suitable for this role,and it has been agreed that each Country at the conference will analyse the performance of the Guernsey crosses and report the results to WGCF.

Seth Johnson of the American Guernsey Association and myself will put together a page of available bulls and link it to the relevant websites.
