I would like to find information out about some cattle but only have their Ear Tag Numbers. Is there a way of finding this information out?

My grandfather used to farm either Guernsey or Jersey cattle on our farm. Two of the bulls were called Vanity Victor and something Mayes Park. Mayes Park is the name of the farm.
it would be around 1950-1964.
How can i find out more so i can buy back into the bloodline?
Apparently it was a famous or at least a very very good breed.

Hi James,
I have looked at some old herdbooks i have and cant find any trace of the herd Mayes Park. I would think maybe your grandfather kept Jerseys then, but if you have his name and check the prefix of the herd i will look again.
