North Somerset Show - 2009

The 150th North Somerset Show was held on May Day Bank Holiday Monday 2009 at Wraxall, Near Bristol. Guernseys were very well represented with 23 cattle forward from six exhibitors.
 
Newcomers (the Greenslade Family, Jon White, Cathryn Mills and Richard Norman) were joined by regulars (Brian and Sheila Adams, Maurice Durbin and Colin Parfitt) to put on a magnificent display of Guernsey cattle.
 
Judge for the day was Mr David Mann from St. Ives in Cornwall and was very impressed by the standard of animals on show.
 
Champion was Bickfield Olivia 26th by Hawk, owned by the Durbin Family and shown by Neil Sales. She was last years Reserve Champion.  Reserve was her herd mate, Bickfield Alison 27th by White Ladies Daphnes Ambionic and shown by Laura Sales.  Judge David Mann commented on the Dairyness of both animals and a willingness to milk.
